How it works
Enter your height. The calculator estimates a general healthy weight range using BMI reference values. If you enter your current weight, it can also show your BMI and how it compares with the estimated range.
The calculator uses the BMI formula in reverse. BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in metres squared. To estimate a weight range, the calculator multiplies your height in metres squared by BMI values 18.5 and 24.9.
For a height of 175 cm, the estimated range is about 56.7 kg to 76.3 kg. This is calculated using 18.5 × 1.75² and 24.9 × 1.75².
This calculator can be useful when you want a quick reference range based on height. It can also help explain how BMI-based ranges are calculated. It should not replace personal advice from a health professional.
