How it works
Enter the original number of servings, then your target number. The tool calculates the scaling factor. Use it to multiply your ingredient quantities manually.
Scaling factor = target servings ÷ original servings. New quantity = original quantity × scaling factor.
Recipe serves 4, scaling to 10: factor = 2.5. 200 g flour becomes 500 g. 2 eggs becomes 5 eggs.
Doubling a recipe for guests, halving it for a smaller household, or converting a home recipe to a larger batch for meal prep.

FAQ
Does scaling always work perfectly?+
Scaling works well for most ingredients by weight or volume. Baking is trickier because leavening agents like baking powder do not always scale linearly, so check the result against a trusted baking guide.
What if my recipe uses mixed units?+
Convert everything to one unit first. For example, convert all cups to grams before scaling, then convert back. This avoids rounding errors.
Can I scale down to fewer servings?+
Yes. Enter a target smaller than the original and the quantities will reduce proportionally. Useful for cooking for one or two people from a recipe designed for four.
