How it works
Choose the General or Combat standard, your age group and sex, then enter your performance for each of the five AFT events. The calculator looks up the score for each event from the official Army Fitness Test Score Tables and shows your total out of 500 plus a pass or fail result.
Each event is scored from 0 to 100 from the official tables. Total = MDL + HRP + SDC + PLK + 2MR. Pass requires every event to score at least 60 AND the total to be at least 300 for General or 350 for Combat. The Combat column applies the male standard to anyone on the Combat track. When a performance falls between rows in the table, the calculator uses the nearest lower score reached.
A 24-year-old male on the General standard who deadlifts 230 lbs, does 30 hand-release push-ups, runs SDC in 2:00, holds plank 2:30 and runs two miles in 17:30 will score around 75, 73, 75, 81 and 75. That is a total near 379 with every event above 60, which would pass the General standard.
Useful for soldiers, recruiters and applicants who want a quick estimate of an AFT score before a real test. The calculator does not store any inputs and is not an official Army tool.

FAQ
What is the Army Fitness Test?+
The Army Fitness Test, AFT, is the U.S. Army's physical fitness assessment that replaced the ACFT on 1 June 2025. It scores soldiers across five events: max deadlift, hand-release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank and a two-mile run.
Is this an official Army calculator?+
No. This calculator is not an official U.S. Army tool. It is an estimate based on the official score tables. Always check the latest official Army guidance and policy before using results for training, testing or career decisions.
What events are included in the AFT?+
Five scored events: MDL (max deadlift, three repetitions), HRP (hand-release push-up in two minutes), SDC (sprint-drag-carry), PLK (plank) and 2MR (two-mile run). Each event scores 0 to 100.
What score do I need to pass?+
Every event must score at least 60. The total must be at least 300 for the General standard or at least 350 for the Combat standard. Failing any single event below 60 fails the whole test, even if the total is high enough.
Does scoring depend on age and sex?+
Yes. The official tables have ten age groups from 17–21 to over 62. The General standard has separate male and female score thresholds. The Combat standard uses the male thresholds for everyone on the Combat track.
What is the difference between General and Combat standards?+
General is the baseline standard with a 300-point minimum and sex-specific scoring. Combat is the standard for combat-arms positions, with a 350-point minimum and the male thresholds applied to all soldiers.
When did the AFT replace the ACFT?+
The Army Fitness Test replaced the Army Combat Fitness Test on 1 June 2025. The score tables used by this calculator were approved on 15 May 2025 and went into effect on the same date.
Are alternate events included?+
No. This calculator covers only the five primary scored events. The Army's official tables include alternate Go/No-Go events such as a 2.5-mile walk, 12 km bike, 1 km swim or 5 km row, but those are not used here.
