How it works

How to use

Enter the original price, choose a quick discount preset or type your own percentage. Add an extra percentage on top and a fixed amount off if your offer stacks them. The final price and total saving update as you type.

Formula

After % off: price × (1 − pct ÷ 100). After extra %: previous × (1 − extra ÷ 100). Final = result − fixed amount, never below 0. Total discount % = (original − final) ÷ original × 100.

Example

Original 1,000 with 20% off → 800. Extra 10% off → 720. Fixed 50 off → 670. Total saved: 330 (33%).

When it helps

Sale price checks, stacking a coupon on top of a sale, comparing two offers on the same item, or working out the real saving when a 'today only' deal is layered with a member discount.

FAQ

How are stacked discounts calculated?+

The first percentage is taken off the original price. The extra percentage is then taken off the already-discounted price, and the fixed amount is subtracted last.

Why is 20% then 10% not the same as 30% off?+

Stacked percentages apply to a smaller running total each step. 20% + 10% on 100 gives 72, while a single 30% gives 70.

Can the final price go below zero?+

No. If the fixed discount is larger than the remaining price, the final price is capped at 0.

What happens with empty optional fields?+

Empty extra percentage and fixed discount fields are treated as 0 and have no effect on the result.

Does this include tax?+

No. The calculator works on the price you enter. If you need to add or remove VAT, use the VAT calculator on the final price.
